Unnecessary impact for every teen learner driver
This just got more important, teens and parents its time to get active and share this>
The online computer-based tests managed by Vic Roads and the very excessive waiting times unnecessarily impacting all victorians.
Problem: before the pandemic started (march 2020) we had waiting times ballooning out to 3 months just to sit the learner permit or hazard perception tests, pre learners and those wanting to sit drivers test. Now that we are on round 2 of COVID and Vic Roads has become a hot spot the anticipated delays look likely to be at least an additional 6-8 months and could easily double. This will force greater numbers of teens onto public transport with the serious risks associated with unnecessary interactions along with potential unnecessary job losses to apprentices and part time employees. Then add the significant number who cannot start their 120 hours and that impact on the entire community will last for years, but an easy flick off a switch and its all history.
Solution: It’s an online computer test easily managed in School libraries✔️ & on the internet✔️, its linkable to every computer✔️ via the internet ✔️ potentially saving the Government millions & 70 thousand teens would be able to start practicing driving NOW, not whenever? add the RISK and 4 hours in lost classroom time going to hot spots just to sit an online test.
This impacts every 16yr old then repeat when 18 who cannot afford this loss especially this year, oh, and the cost to parents running all across Victoria.
