The Tom O’Neill scholarship honours & celebrates courage & determination of those living with Epilepsy
The Tom O’Neil Annual Award honours the life and legacy of Tom O’Neill, a remarkable young man whose kindness, integrity, and dedication to others left a lasting impact on his family, friends, and community & his Driving Coach, Tom passed way in his sleep after a medical episode following a life manoeuvring around the impact that epilepsy brings, including getting a licence.
Tom was a passionate volunteer, a devoted family man, and an active member of his community. He loved sport, valued health, and wellbeing, cared deeply for the environment, and was pursuing his dream of becoming a Horticulturist. Above all, Tom was known for his honesty, compassion, and willingness to help others.
This award will recognise a person living with epilepsy who reflects the qualities Tom embodied every day—resilience in the face of challenges, a commitment to community service, genuine care for others, and a desire to make the world a better place. It celebrates individuals who lead by example, give generously of their time, and make a positive difference in the lives of those around them.
Through this award, Tom’s spirit of community, kindness, and service continues to inspire others and reminds us of the extraordinary impact one person can have on the world & in their community 🙏😇😎🚗👊
